Tricia Black Exhibit

The Carnegie Arts Center will host local artist and resident, Tricia Black in a one person show at the Stacks Gallery in May. Opening reception is scheduled for Friday May 9th from 5:00-7:00pm. This exhibit promises to be fun and thought provoking. Miss Black who has worked at the Carnegie has a unique way of looking at the world. She always appears to be in the middle of changing, either career choices or “gaudy impractical shoes,” so her subjects -- she feels -- reflect humorous themes. Tricia was born in North Carolina, the youngest of four children, was raised in Leavenworth but spent some of her childhood overseas. By her own description, Tricia likes: “coffee, reading, FOOD, vulgar music, gaudy impractical shoes, and painting.”
